what do poets do
with degrees?
just wondering, since i spent the day with one who every time i glanced over was deep in thought. and when he wasn't thinking, because i asked what was on his mind, too, searched for what to think next.
Hanging around all day thinking Very Deep Thoughts™ seems worthless to me. What he should do is spend his time kicking thirteen-year-old boys in the nuts, then screaming, "I JUST CHANGED YOUR LIFE FOREVER, MOTHERFUCKER!!!!" That would have a more profound and lasting effect than anything rolling around in his head.
they become permanent (rather than freelance) coffee house seat fillers...?
